Urban Art at the STAMP festival – getting-up presents graffiti and street-art as part of the street art festival
STAMP – The Street Arts melting Pot
International Festival of Street Arts, Hamburg (Germany)
September 3rd – 5th, 2010
STAMP, the international festival of street art in Hamburg, was first held in 2010. Its temporal and spatial cross-linking of different forms of street art make the festival an ultimate meeting point for the international street art scene. The creative collective getting-up was responsible for the organizing different urban art projects at the 2010 exhibition.
Street art encompasses a huge variety of art forms: from cabaret to street music, from carnival costume art to street dance – the range of attention-grabbing art performances on the street is infinite. Stenciled images, sculptures, posters and stickers all also belong to this world – as does graffiti art.
As part of the STAMP festival getting up implemented a variety of projects involving the creative manipulation of public spaces. Artist friends were brought in in order to be able to show the huge diversity of urban art.
